Description

This report checks the usage indicator for code groups and adjusts it if necessary.

As soon as a code group is used in another task (e.g., in an inspection plan), the system sets the usage indicator (QPGR-VERWENDUNG = X).
The consequence of this is that the code group can no longer be deleted from the system.

If you cancel the reference to the code group, the usage indicator is not immediately reset since the system must check all the places where the code group could be used (e.g., all task lists and master inspection characteristics). Such an action would take up too much time. You can use this report instead.

This report checks if a code group is being used. If it is not being used, the report resets the usage indicator. Afterwards, you can delete the code group.

Example

The following example explains how the report works:

  1. First you create code group ABC and assign codes to it.
The usage indicator is not yet set (QPGR-VERWENDUNG = SPACE).
  2. You refer to the code group in an inspection plan.
The system sets the usage indicator (QPGR-VERWENDUNG = X).
  3. You then delete the reference to the code group.
The usage indicator remains set. As a result, the code group cannot be deleted in the transaction for maintaining selected sets (QS41), even though it is no longer being used.
  4. You execute the report. The report determines that the code group is no longer being used and resets the usage indicator (QPGR-VERWENDUNG = SPACE).
  5. You can now delete the code group in transaction QS41.
