RSADRNNR - Org address number conversion to new number range interval

Description

This program addresses the situation where you want to transport organization unit addresses (Customizing) but have neglected to leave any number range in the target system where there will be no overlap.

Follow this procedure to ensure that addresses already assigned in the target system are not overwritten (which would lead to inconsistencies).

Before you start your transport, maintain nuber range interval 01 for the ADRNR number range object in your source system, so that there is no overlap with the interval in the target system. See Note 25182.

Run report RSADRNNR (in test mode first, if appropriate).

Once the report has run successfully, the addresses of the organization units are assigned to address numbers in the new interval and the transport will not cause database inconsistencies.

Note that additional direct references to address numbers (for example in plant addresses) are not converted automatically. These references are listed in the log.

If you have your own tables that need to be transported and that have table fields referring to addresses held in table SADR, you will need to add the appropriate program coding yourself.

If necessary, the report can be run again. Address numbers within the currently valid interval (potential overlaps) are not converted (see the log).

If you reset the Address number from new range parameter flag, no check for freedom from overlaps is carried out. New numbers are taken from the current number range interval.

Requirements

This report must be run before your data export.

Output

A log is generated. It shows for each table processed: the total number of entries; the number of entries with address references; the number of address numbers converted; the number of entries with address numbers in the currently valid interval; the number of addresses not found; and the number of errors (which should be 0 for each table).
