Purpose

Analysis of the Security Audit Log

You can use this report to evaluate files of the Security Audit Log in accordance with the familiar characteristics. This is the previously unavailable background variant, with which you can perform automated evaluation.

Integration

The report is part of the group of evaluation tools for Security Audit Logs (in addition to the dialog transactions SM20 and SM20N).

Prerequisites

Features

There are two general processing types for the report

1. Using the default directory (the directory of the audit files, defined by the profile parameters DIR_AUDIT and FN_AUDIT), as with the online transactions SM20 and SM20N.

2. Using a special (archive) directory by specifying both parameters:

,,Name of the audit directory, name of the audit file

Selection

The selections include the standard selections:

- Date / Time

- Instance(s) ,,,,(All instances = '*', Local instance = initial)

- Client / User

Selection of the audit events:

Using either

- Audit class

- Events

or

- Individual events (audit messages)

You can also select by

- Terminal

- Transaction code

- Program

Additional parameters for

- ALV layout selection

- Print control

Standard Variants

DEFAULT

Variant for normal use, without layout and print control.

INDIVIDUAL EVENT

Variant for selecting by individual audit events.

Output

The output list is generated using the SAP List Viewer (ALV). You can choose between the classic list and an ALV grid list.
