RSBTCDELAPJ - Delete outdated Application Jobs (SAP S/4HANA)

Purpose

This report deletes application jobs from current client that have exceeded their retention period (i.e. minimum age). Every application job has a designated retention period (e.g. 28 days) which prevents premature deletion of the job.
Used with default parameter settings, RSBTCDELAPJ deletes all application jobs in the current client which have exceeded their built-in retention period.
Note: the retention period of an application job is derived from the Job Template definition that created the job.

By selecting "Use explicit retention period" and specifying a fixed number of days, you override the individual retention period for each application job and thereby force a deletion of ALL application jobs in the current client that are older than the specified number of days. In general, it is not advisable to use this setting as this will erase any possibly existing application jobs with longer retention period (e.g. six months).

Note: Application jobs are background jobs created by Fiori App "Application Jobs" which was introduced with SAP S/4HANA. Application jobs cannot be deleted via reports RSBTCDEL, RSBTCDEL2.

When you execute RSBTCDELAPJ in dialog mode, a popup will ask for confirmation of the deletion. If you answer "No", then RSBTCDELAPJ will only list application jobs which it has found as candidates for deletion, but not perform any deletion of jobs!
When RSBTCDELAPJ executes in background, it will always delete application jobs satisfying the deletion condition.
RSBTCDELAPJ always selects application jobs for the current client - in contrast to RSBTCDEL/RSBTCDEL2 it cannot work cross-client.

Output

RSBTCDELAPJ outputs a list with all application jobs that satisfied the selection condition, together with Job Catalog and Job Template information plus the minimum age/actual age for each job. It also reports whether the job was actually deleted.
