RSDDS_AGGREGATES_MAINTAIN - Program RSDDS_AGGREGATES_MAINTAIN

Description

The program has the same functionality as the function 'Tools -> Hierarchy/Attribute changes' of the Administrator Workbench. The program thus adjusts the aggregate to the attribute and hierarchy changes, and subsequently activates the attributes and hierarchies.

The advantage of this program is that you can regularly schedule it as a background job using Basis (transaction SE38 Program -> Execute -> Background ).

If this program or the function in the Administrator Workbench terminates, then you can only start the change run once more using the function in the Administrator Workbench.

If an InfoObject or hierarchy list is given with the program, then only the characteristics or hierarchies, that are in the list and that have changed, are taken into consideration. The entry parameters are stored as variants so you can schedule the background job with a variant. If no entry is made either in the InfoObject list or in the hierarchy list, then all the characteristics and hierarchies, that have changed, are revised.

Output

The messages, that the program sends, are written in the application log (Object: RSSM, Subobject: MON, ext. number MON:PROTOCOLL_ACTION). You can get to these via:

Administrator Workbench -> Tools -> Hierarchy/Attribute changes -> Log.

Example

If the attributes for the characteristic '0Material' are uploaded weekly then you can schedule this program in such a way that it starts after the load. In this way, you can give the InfoObject list '0Material' as a variant, so that only the changes to the attribute for the material are considered and not any other changes, that should only become valid at a later date.
