Purpose

This report calculates and displays the expected size of a full Embedded Searchindex in SAP Solution Manager based on the existing data.

If there is a big amount of data stored in Solution Documentation, a full index run may take some time. In order to estimate the expected runtime, this report may be used to get an estimation on the number of expected entries to be built-up in a full index run.

Selection

You may select one or both main search connectors used for solution documentation:

• Solution Documentation: Element:
  Attributes index for all elements of the solution documentation structure

• Solution Documentation: KW Info Object
  Full text index of the assigned KW documents

Output

The output provides you with the number of expected index entries for the selected search connector(s).

The numbers displayed are not exact numbers, but a rough estimation based on the existing data.

You may compare the expected numbers with the currently existing numbers displayed in the ESH cockpit. For an estimation of the expected runtime you may assume a linear growth of the index entries.
