RSPFCHECK - Details Check of Profiles

Purpose

This tool can be used to check profiles in a detailed manner.

To check profile parameters from the profile selected and perform some quality checks as per the parameter's definitions.

Prerequisites

All checks are done on the instance, on which the profile is active. This is necessary, as profile parameter values can be different in various instances. Therefore the instance needs to be active, so that checks can be executed.

Features

Selection

The list of checks is divided into two, namely mandatory and optional checks. The mandatory checks are those SAP recommends being executed. Although mandatory checks should be executed, they can be deactivated via the selection screen.

Mandatory checks:

1. Same as kernel default
2. Parameter exists
3. SAP defined formula parameter
4. Metadata violation
5. Multiple occurrences
6. The parameter is a system parameter
7. Setting parameter is forbidden
8. Parameter DIR_PROFILE consists of other parameters
9. Read-only parameters
10. Optimal value

Optional checks:

1. Parameter value deviates 10% from kernel default
2. The parameter value is smaller than kernel default

Standard Variants

Output

The report displays parameters found in the respective profile that may need respective attention and also parameters that have some relevant information for the system's administrators.

It displays a Message Type with the level of the information column that explaining the relevance of the information about the parameter. A Message about the reason that the parameter is present in the output with further information is included, and the respective Recommendation.
