Purpose

This report searches for different applications in the role menu in a client. You can call the report from the area menu node "Roles" -> Search for Applications in Role Menu in transaction SUIM, or directly using transaction RSUSR_ROLE_MENU in the OK field.

Integration

Prerequisites

Features

Selection

To determine roles with particular characteristics, restrict the selection by making specifications in the fields. If you execute the report without making any specifications, all roles in the current client are displayed. If the role menu is large and you do not want to impair the runtime, we recommend that you execute the evaluation for a few roles at a time.

The selection screen consists of a number of different selection criteria:

Standard Selection:

  • Role
Name of single role

Selection by Menu Entries:

  • Type of Menu Entry
All menu entries that are defined in the PFCG.
The Authorization Default Values are resolved and included in the list as applications. You can search for these applications either as Startable Menu Entry or Authorization Default. Example: The type of the menu entry is transaction. This can be defined as a startable menu entry or as an authorization default in the role menu. On the selection screen, you can define which of the two criteria is relevant for your search. The RFC function module can only be defined as an authorization default in the role menu, which is why the options are deactivated for this application.
If you select an SAP Fiori Tile Catalog, you can also define the Catalog ID as a search criterion.
  • Application
Name of the application of the menu entry
  • Text
Text for the application
  • Language Key

Selection by User Assignment:

  • All Roles Regardless of User Assignment
User assignment is irrelevant.
  • Without User Assignment
Only single roles that are not assigned to any users are found.
  • With Valid Assignment of User(s)
The report finds single roles that are assigned to the entered user name(s). If you do not specify a user name, all single roles that have at least one user assignment are found. By default, the result list is a list of the roles that the report finds. If you want to display a list of the user/role assignments as the result list, select the option 'Display List of User/Role Assignments'.

Standard Variants

Output

For reasons of accessibility, the result list is output as an ALV list. The result list contains the entries of the structure SUSR_ROLE_MENU and contains the following fields:

  • Role
Name of the role
  • Type of Menu Entry
  • Service Type
  • Object/Application of Menu Entry
  • Text

You can also add additional fields to the ALV list from the column set:

  • Report Type
  • Enhanced Name
Technical name of the service
  • Name
Technical name of the application
  • Check Indicator Type
  • Catalog ID
Catalog ID indicates which catalog ID the application in question belongs to.

If you choose Select (F2) or double-click a role name, a PFCG window opens for the selected role in display mode. If you choose User Assignment (F7), a list is displayed containing all users to which the determined roles are assigned.
