Purpose

This report allows you to output a report about the changes to users in the form of a complete display of the respective user properties (state history) for each change time point. You use the report SUIM_CD_PROF_STATE to transfer the states of profile assignments and the times that users were created and deleted for the change documents of object classes IDENTITY for optimized access to table SUIM_CHG_STATE. These data enable the report RSUSR_STATUS_HISTORY to efficiently analyze the state history of user attributes.

Integration

Prerequisites

Features

Selection

The first part of the selection screen, "State History", provides information about whether and when the state history for profile assignments was executed. If no state history exists, you can create it by choosing "Calculate Now"; otherwise the states are calculated directly in the program. The states calculated directly at runtime are not stored in the database.

The next part of the selection screen, "Standard Selection", includes the same characteristics as the other reports in the User and Authorization Information System (transaction SUIM):

  • User
  • Changed By
User who made the change.
You can fill this field with your own user name by choosing the <logged-on user> button. This allows you to search for changes that you made yourself.
  • From Date and From Time:
Start date and time of the period to be checked.
You can use the buttons 'Week', 'Month', and 'Year' to set the appropriate start date.
  • To Date and To Time:
End date and time of the period to be checked.

Take Archive Data Into Account:

As well as the change documents for object IDENTITY, the following tables are taken into account in the evaluation of the state history of the change documents for users:

·,,USR02/USH02

·,,USR04/USH04

You can take into account archived data for the following archiving objects during the evaluation:

·,,US_PASS (relates to table USH02)

·,,US_USER (relates to table USH04)

·,,CHANGEDOCU (limited to the change document object IDENTITY)

The archived data must first be reloaded into appropriate shadow tables (USH*_ARC_TMP for the USH* tables) with the reports RSUSR_LOAD_FROM_ARCHIVE (US_PASS, US_USER). If you are reloading a large volume of data, we recommend that you do so in the background, which is possible for both reports.

The selection screen documents whether the data has been reorganized, and if so, when.

The standard change documents for the object IDENTITY can also be reorganized. The time of the last reorganization of standard change documents cannot be found automatically. Therefore, use the "Management" option in transaction SARA to check the archiving sessions for archiving object CHANGEDOCU.

You can find the required information in the user entries of an archive session (context menu = secondary mouse button).

The standard change documents must also first be reloaded into the corresponding shadow table USARC_CDRED with the report RSUSR_LOAD_FROM_ARCHIVE.

Output:

  • List of State History (User Attributes Vertical)
This option allows you to output a report about the changes to users in the form of a complete display of the respective user properties (state history) for each change time point. The different output options control the orientation of the tabular output.
The status history takes into account the following constellations when displaying the history within a selected time period:
If a user was created in the selected time period, the complete status history for the user is displayed in the time interval.
If a user was created before the selected time period, the status history starts with a defined "initial status" and displays the history of all further changes during the time period.
If no changes exist for a user in the selected time period, the user is not displayed in the results list.
To describe the relevant user statuses, six possible statuses have been defined:
"Initial status"
"Initial status unknown"
"Initial status incomplete"
"Created"
"Changed"
"Deleted"
"Current"
The status is provided both as an icon with a tooltip and as a short text. To display the short text, you need to enhance the output layout.
The fields "Last Changed By", "Transaction Code", and "Report Name" are not used in the views. They primarily describe the change process, but not the current status of the user.
  • Table of State History (User Attributes Horizontal)
