SAP E-Book

Purpose

You can use this report to copy and transport objects of the Business Rule Framework (BRF) in the Claims Management system.

Integration

Prerequisites

Features

Selection

The most important sections of the selection screen are:

Specify an application class here. You can also use the application class FLIGHT of the flight example.

Leave the entries unchanged here for import status (A) and version (0000).

You can control which BRF objects should be copied or transported. The following settings are possible:

  • Only SAP objects
  • Only customer objects
  • All objects

Define which operations should be performed. The following is possible:

  • Copying
Run the report in the client into which you want to copy the BRF objects (target client).
The system copies all BRF objects of the specified source client that correspond with the selection criteria transferred.
You can only copy within a system. The copied objects are added to the target client. Existing objects are changed accordingly. No objects are deleted in the target client. Orphaned or excluded objects are not copied.
  • Transport
Run the report in the system and the client from which you want to transport them.
The system creates transport entries for the selected BRF objects of the client. This is only possible if the client is a Customizing client.
You then specify a transport request when the system asks.
Orphaned or excluded BRF objects are not transported. They remain in the database.
  • Copy and transport
Run the report in the system and the client into/from which you want to transport them.
Copying and transporting works as described above.

After copying/transporting, the system generates a results list. This contains the following entries:

  • BRF objects that were copied or transported (success messages)
  • BRF objects that were not copied or transported (warnings and errors) and the reason why.

You can define the scope and level of detail of this results list.

In simulation mode, all operations are skipped over that would change the database.

Standard Variants

Output

The results list consists of two parts:

  1. The first part lists all table entries included in the processing of the report, provided you have defined this in the display options.
  2. The second part lists all tables included with the number of the added and updated entries. As the report does not delete anything, the number of entries that are theoretically deleted are only statistically significant.

Activities

  • To make changes in the database, you must switch off the simulation mode.
  • To transport BRF objects that were not delivered by SAP, you must copy the report and manually add the tables to include BRF_TRANSPORT_SIMPLE_MAIN.
If you have specialization tables, note the following:
  • Add an 'F' to the expressions in the apostrophe for specialization tables.

  • Add an 'A' to the actions in the apostrophe for specialization tables.
