Deactivation of batch master records that are no longer needed.

Title

Deactivate batch master records for data replication and reporting purposes (Batch Information Cockpit).

Purpose

With report RVBDEACT, you can select and deactivate batch master records. The report checks that stock-related fields for the batches are zero in the current and previous periods, and that no inventory-blocking flag is set.

You can choose that deactivated batch master records should not display in the Batch Information Cockpit, allowing for a better overview of active batch master records. See Batch Information Cockpit for more information.

The deactivation indicator can be used as a search criteria (Batch No Longer Active) in the extended input help for batches (Batches with extended search criteria).

Integration

Prerequisites

Features

Select batch master records by material or plant (depending on batch level definition), with creation date lower than the selection date.

The report has a test mode, which provides a log of batch master records to be deactivated. In productive mode, the report sets the deactivation indicator, and provides a log of batch master records deactivated.

It is still possible to make bookings after deactivating a batch. Any such booking resets the deactivation indicator, and so the batch reverts to being active.

The deactivation indicator is not displayed directly in the batch master record. However, all changes to the deactivation indicator are recorded with the change documents in the batch master record (tab Changes).

Selection

A checkbox allows you to exclude batch master records without goods receipts from the selection.
