Description

You use this report to archive account statements, or account statement headers (tableRLACSTHD), and account statement records (table RLACSTIT) along with the corresponding change document data (tables CDHDR and CDPOS) and message status records (table NAST). The report writes the data to an archive file.

You have two options for archiving the data: archive all statements, or archive only statements that are completely matched. You can restrict the range of data archived by entering a statement period. The system uses residence times to calculate the earliest possible time for archiving, or a key date. Archiving can be restricted to inbound or outbound statements.

Process flow of archiving: The account statement headers are preselected (key date or statement date) in packets of 100. The system then reads the statement transactions. The accounts to which these statements belong, and the statements themselves, are locked for parallel processing and unlocked again before the next data packet is read.

The statements, change document data and message status records are archived. All transactions for one statement are archived together.

In each archiving record (consisting of one statement header and one or more statement transactions plus change document data and message status records), the system records information on, for example, the returnable packaging accounts, partner relationship data and matching groups. This enables you to carry out evaluations in the SAP Archive Information System, for example, by material number of returnable packaging; information that is not contained directly in the statements themselves.

This process is repeated for the next data packet, and so on.

Prerequisites

You have defined residence times in Customizing for Returnable Packaging Logistics. These define a retention period (number of days) for account statements in the system. If you have not defined these times, archiving terminates with a corresponding message.

Output

Account statements that were selected for archiving are outputted to an archive file. The report RVHURL007 (archiving of account postings: delete application data) uses this file to delete the data from the tables. A processing log gives details on the amount and volumes of the archived account statements. A more detailed log is also available, listing successfully archived postings and reasons for statements that could not be archived.

Note

Hints were created specifically for the archiving object VHURL_PO (packaging logistics account postings), where you can find more information.

Change document data is outputted to the archive file using function modules from the archiving class CHANGEDOCU. The processing log only provides whole totals of archived change document data.
