Purpose

The following expert functions are available:

  • Delete Buffer Table
You can delete a buffer table by specifying the name of the buffer table and selecting the option Delete Buffer Table. Finally, choose the Execute button to delete the buffer table.

  • Delete Buffer Table Records

To delete a record from a buffer table, proceed as follows:

  1. Select the option Delete Buffer Table Records.
  2. In the Buffer Table Name field, open the value help (F4 button).
  3. Choose the relevant buffer table.
  4. Choose Execute.

Note
You will need to identify the relevant producer ID in order to determine the correct buffer table. For more information, see section Additional Information About Obtaining the Producer IDbelow.

The system displays the Delete Buffer Record dialog box that contains the key fields of the specified table. To delete a record from the buffer table, specify the relevant key field values and choose the Delete Buffer Record button.
  • Change Settings
Specify the name of the buffer table and select the option Change Settings. The system displays the following options:
  • Buffer Table Size

You can change the upper limit of records that can be stored in a buffer table.
  • Buffer Table Package Size

You can change the number of records in a package.

Additional Information About Obtaining the Producer ID

There are the following options for determining the producer ID:

  • If you are using the operator Read Data from SAP System to replicate data from CDS views, proceed as follows:

  1. In the SAP Data Intelligence Modeler, click the Status tab of a running graph. Click the relevant graph in the list. The system displays the runtime handle of the graph in the Runtime Handlefield.
  2. In transaction SE16, open table DHAPE_GRAPH. Enter the runtime handle in the GRAPH_ID field. The value of the field STATE_UUID corresponds to the producer ID.

  • If you are using the operator Read Data from SAP System to replicate data using SAP LT Replication Server, proceed as follows:

  1. In the SAP Data Intelligence Modeler, navigate to the properties of the relevant operator. Use the Object Name field to identify the mass transfer ID.
  2. In transaction SE16, open table IUUC_REPL_MAP. Enter the mass transfer ID in the MT_ID field. The value of the field CONFIG_GUID corresponds to the producer ID.

  • If you are using the Replication Management Service (RMS) to replicate data from CDS views, the task ID corresponds to the producer ID. You can view the task ID in the log.

  • If you are using the Replication Management Service (RMS) to replicate data using SAP LT Replication Server, proceed as follows:

  1. In the Replication Management Service UI, identify the relevant mass transfer ID.
  2. In transaction SE16, open table IUUC_REPL_MAP. Enter the mass transfer ID in the MT_ID field. The value of the field CONFIG_GUID corresponds to the producer ID.

Additional Information About Deleting Buffer Table Records

If you use an SAP Data Intelligence graph or the Replication Management Service to replicate data from an ABAP system to SAP Data Intelligence, an error can occur if an invalid record in the ABAP source system cannot be converted to the relevant data type in SAP Data Intelligence.

If this situation occurs, you can resume the replication process by following the steps below:

  1. Correct the invalid record in the ABAP source system.
  2. Use the expert function Delete Buffer Table Records to delete the invalid record from the buffer table.

For cloud scenarios where it is not possible to access the Data Buffer – Monitor transaction, you need to contact SAP for support if this error occurs.

Note that this process only allows you to resume the replication process. If this error occurs during the initial load of data, the initial load must be repeated.
