Purpose

You use this report to check if the location hierarchy structure is correct.

The report checks the location hierarchy structure of all clients on the system you are currently working on. Detailed information of any errors detected on the hierarchy structure for the current client is displayed. If the error is detected in another client, a corresponding message is displayed telling you to run the report on that specific client.

If the report detects locations with multiple parents, you can run it using the option to fix the structure. In this case, the first assigned parent is kept, while the other parents are unassigned.

It is only possible to fix the location structure of the current client. If an error is detected on another client, you must run the report on that specific client.

Integration

Prerequisites

Features

Selection

Correct Errors in Structure: Use this mode to unassign parents that have been incorrectly assigned. The default setting is to just check the location hierarchy structure.

Standard Variants

Output

If you do not select the mode Correct Errors in Structure, the report only checks the assigned parents and does not make any changes. The report logs all locations that have multiple parents assigned to them.

If the report detects errors in the structure of the current client, it records the parents that should be unassigned. The rule behind this is to keep the first assigned parent that is found and unassign all of the other ones.

If there are errors in the structure of other clients, the report logs the name of the location and asks you to run the report on that specific client to receive further information or to fix the structure.

Activities

If errors are found when you run the report without selecting the mode Correct Errors in Structure, you should then select this mode and run the report again. This unassigns all parents that have been incorrectly assigned. At a later stage, you can reassign the location using the Edit Location Structure service.

If you do not agree with the proposed changes, you can manually unassign the incorrect parents from the ehfndd_lhr_hier database table. The db_key of all assigned parent relations is listed when you run the report without fixing errors in the structure.
