Purpose

You can use this program to transfer plan data from classic CO tables to the ACDOCP table.

Typical scenarios are:

Scenario 1 (Classic planning and new reporting)

If you carry out financial planning using only classic planning transactions, the plan data is stored in the classic CO tables. However, the plan/actual reporting functionality delivered with the new SAP Fiori and CDS technology is based on tables ACDOCA and ACDOCP. To be able to report the plan data, you need to transfer it from the CO tables to the ACDOCP table.

Scenario 2 (Planning in SAP Analytics Cloud and continuing in classic planning)

After you have performed primary cost planning using SAP Analytics Cloud and exported the plan data from SAP Analytics Cloud to the ACDOCP table, you want to:

  • Use the classic price calculation with cost component split in a second and last step (plan data is stored in the classic CO tables).
  • Use the classic allocations
  • Use other special functions such as overhead calculation etc.

To use the new reporting for the plan data, you need to transfer it from the CO tables back to the ACDOCP table.

Scenario 3 (Iteration between classic and new planning)

To perform further planning with SAP Analytics Cloud, you need to transfer the plan data from the CO tables back to the ACDOCP table and then import it into SAP Analytics Cloud.

Process

Scenario 1 (Classic planning and new reporting)

  1. Plan your data with the classic planning transactions.
  2. Transfer the plan data from the CO tables to ACDOCP table using this program.
  3. Use the new CDS-based reporting

Scenario 2 (Planning in SAP Analytics Cloud and continuing in classic planning)

  1. Plan your primary costs with SAP Analytics Cloud.
  2. Export the plan data from SAP Analytics Cloud to the ACDOCP table in SAP S/4HANA.
For more information on how to export data from SAP Analytics Cloud, go to SAP Help Portal. There, search for "Exporting Data to SAP S/4HANA" in the Search allfield.
  1. Use the program R_FINS_PLAN_TRANS_CO_S4H_2_ERP to transfer plan data from the ACDOCP table to CO tables. This enables you to use the following functions in SAP S/4HANA:
    1. The classic price calculation with cost component split in a second and last step
    2. The classic allocations
    3. Other special functions such as overhead calculation etc.
For more information, see the documentation of the program R_FINS_PLAN_TRANS_CO_S4H_2_ERP
  1. Transfer the plan data from the CO tables to the ACDOCP table using this program (R_FINS_PLAN_TRANS_CO_ERP_2_S4H).
  2. Use the new CDS-based reporting.

Scenario 3 (Iteration between classic and new planning)

  1. Perform all steps as described in Scenario 2 (Planning in SAP Analytics Cloud and continuing in classic planning).
  2. Import the plan data from the ACDOCP table in SAP S/4HANA to SAP Analytics Cloud.

You have started planning in SAP Analytics Cloud. In addition, you have processed the data in classic CO planning and transferred the plan data back to SAP Analytics Cloud. You can now iterate, that is: You can change the plan data in SAP Analytics Cloud and repeat the entire planning process as described in this scenario.

Note

  • In the CO tables, costs are stored as fixed costs and variable costs.
  • In the ACDOCP table, this distinction only exists for controlling area currency (global currency) and company code currency (local currency):
  • For controlling area currency (global currency) and company code currency (local currency), the system stores the costs as fixed and total costs.

  • For transaction currency, the system stores the costs only as total costs.

Selection

Note the following selection restrictions:

For all fields with the multiple selection option, such as cost center, activity type, or account number, only the following selections are allowed:

  • Select Single Values: For this option, only the Single Valueoption is allowed

  • Select Ranges

How to work with activity-independent and activity-dependent data on cost centers

The program offers multiple selections for the Activity Typefield in connection with the Cost Centerfield. If the selection field Activity Typeremains empty, all activity-independent and activity-dependent data of the selected cost centers is processed.

  • If you only want to select the activity-independent data, you have to select the Include Single Valueoption with the value blank for the activity type. Proceed as follows:
  1. For the Activity Typefield, choose Multiple Selection.
  2. On the Select Single Valuetab, choose the selection option Single Value and leave the field empty (single value is blank).
  3. Choose Apply.
  • If you want to select activity-dependent data, you can enumerate the activity types that you want to select.

Output

The transfer program copies the costs as follows, depending on the Planning Currency parameter:

  • For parameter value C (controlling area currency), the fixed costs and variable costs in controlling area currency are copied as total costs and fixed costs in global currency.
  • For parameter value O (object currency), the fixed costs and variable costs in object currency are copied as total costs and fixed costs in company code currency.
  • For parameter value T (transaction currency), the fixed costs and variable costs in transaction currency are copied as total costs and fixed costs in transaction currency.

The transfer program copies the quantities as follows:

The transfer program sums up fixed and variable quantities and transfers them as total quantities. The planning currency parameter does not influence the transfer of quantities.
