Purpose

(M)onitoring of existing traces in the system and all activities around ALV Trace for support reasons: (A)ctivate, (D)elete and maintenance of Trace (E)xpiry Date, (R)epeat execution of traced functionality

Integration

Prerequisites

Maintenance of Authority Objects S_DEVELOP or S_ALV_CSUT required:

  • Trace (A), (D), (E) own user: S_DEVELOP activity = 03 / objtype = DEBUG or S_ALV_CSUT Scope = '1' or 'A' / activity = 23
  • Trace (A), (D), (E) all users: S_DEVELOP activity = 03 and 90 / objtype = DEBUG or S_ALV_CSUT Scope = 'A' / activity = 23
  • Trace (M) own user: S_DEVELOP activity = 03 / objtype = DEBUG or S_ALV_CSUT Scope = '1' or 'A' / activity = 03 or 23
  • Trace (M) all user: S_DEVELOP activity = 03 / objtype = DEBUG or S_ALV_CSUT Scope = 'A' / activity = 03 or 23
  • Repeat execution (R) of own users trace:
  • Authorization for trace display (M) plus

  • Authorization S_DEVELOP activity = 03 and 02 / objtype = DEBUG or S_ALV_CSUT Scope = '1' or 'A' / activity = B8

  • Repeat execution (R) of other users trace:
  • Authorization for trace display (M) plus

  • Authorization S_DEVELOP activity = 03 and 02 and 90 / objtype = DEBUG or S_ALV_CSUT Scope = 'A' / activity = B8

Features

Expired traces are automatically deleted, when you start the transaction SALV_TRACE.

Hint: For periodical deletion of traces in the system, use report SALV_CSQT_TRACE_DELETE in a periodic job.
