Purpose

This program regroups valuation objects according to a specified sorted list (for example, IAS 1) and performs transfer postings. It is used for certain G/L accounts, for example, accounts for lease liabilities/receivables from RE-FX. Open item management is not active on these accounts.

The documents on these accounts are supplied with information about valuation objects by the sending application. On this basis, the program determines the account sub-balance per valuation object and regroups the valuation objects according to a specified sorted list of terms.

The due date information can be determined in the sending application.

Sorted list of valuation objects

The decision regarding whether a valuation object is to be regrouped depends on the balance sheet value of an account per valuation object. This balance sheet value is determined from a special ledger created for this purpose per valuation object and account in the relevant local currencies. If the balance per valuation object is positive, the sorted list for receivables is used; otherwise the sorted list for liabilities is used. The shares for the sorted lists are determined using a query in the sending application.
Processing takes place in the currency of the selected valuation area. Currencies that are directly dependent on the valuation currency in terms of translation (reporting currencies) are also considered, provided they are managed in the assigned special ledger.
Any shares from previous valuations of the valuation area (for example, from foreign currency valuation) are considered automatically when the base amounts are determined.

Postings

For each transfer posting generated, a cancellation posting is performed in the following period. In the event of an error, a batch input session is created.

The necessary account assignment information is taken from the special ledger.

Integration

Prerequisites

For the regrouping to consider previous valuation shares from the foreign currency valuation, report SAPFOBJ_VALUATION (foreign currency valuation on valuation objects) must first be run.

  • A sort method is required for regrouping. Maintain the sort method
    Execute function
  • For report SAPFOBJ_REGROUP to make the desired adjustment posting, the adjustment accounts and the accounts for reporting the valuation objects must be specified by remaining term in the system. Maintain the account determination:
    Execute function
  • The posting keys required are already defined in the standard system.
  • You use a document type that allows cross-company postings and entry of the partner company.
  • A special ledger in accordance with SAP Note 2624449 is created.
  • If additional characteristics are to be taken into account for posting, you need to make the following settings:
In the view V_FAGL_FCBAL and in the special ledger, you define the additional fields that the program is to consider. Further account assignments must be derived in accounting to ensure that the document has complete account assignments.

Output

The main list shows the amounts posted and base amounts that are the basis for the calculation, per sorted list/account determination key, account, and valuation object. The currency shown results from the currency assigned to the valuation area. By double-clicking a valuation object, you can branch to a report of the sending application for an explanation.
Additional value fields are available:

  • Non-valuated base amount in object currency: Calculation basis without valuation share of previous valuation steps in document currency (for reconciliation with the sending application).

  • Non-valuated base amount in valuation currency: Calculation basis without valuation share of previous valuation steps in the currency of the valuation area

  • Valuation amount of base amount in valuation currency: Valuation share of the calculation basis from previous valuation steps.

In cases where currencies are directly dependent on the valuation currency in terms of translation (reporting/translation currency), the following fields are also available:

  • Non-valuated base amount in reporting currency (translation currency): Calculation basis without valuation share of previous valuation steps in the currencies that depend directly on the valuation currency in relation to translation.

  • Valuation amount of the base amount in reporting currency (translation currency): Valuation share of the calculation basis from previous valuation steps in the currencies that are directly dependent on the valuation currency in terms of translation.

  • Valuated base amount in reporting currency (translation currency): Calculation basis with valuation share of previous valuation steps in the currencies that are directly dependent on the valuation currency in terms of translation.

The postings are listed in the posting list.

The message list shows you the errors and other events.
