Documentation on support messages

Output

Support messages

With support messages you can directly contact the responsible support unit in the SAP Solution Manager from your SAP system.

Please create a message with a short and long text and give it a priority (low - very high). All other data needed to process the message is taken from the SAP system (e.g. installation number, release, current transaction, support package level). This data helps the person processing the message to answer it more quickly and effectively. You can look at this data at any time.

Since, depending on the system setting, the message may be created in another system (support desk system, SAP Solution Manager, and so on), you may have to log on to the target system when you save the message.

  • @1S@Save /Send: Your message is sent to the correct support unit in the SAP Solution Manager. The system then informs you of the send status and the message number.
  • @10@Display entire message: You can look at the message and the system data that was added automatically.
  • @48@Insert File: You can use an input help to insert any file to the message as an attachment.
  • @FM@List of Attachments: This button only appears if you have inserted at least one file attachment. You can insert new attachments from here, remove existing attachments or load them to your local Frontend.
  • @2O@Terminate: Terminate message creation.

Please inform your responsible system administrator the first time you use the support message.

Note

Sent messages are logged in the BCOS_PROT table.

Note for system administrators

Selected files and long texts can change with a BADI implementation.

Please use the BADI SBCOS001 (SE18/SE19) with the interface method PREPARE_FEEDBACK_BO.

There are the following other influencing parameters:

  • SAP components (changeable)
  • Short text of message (changeable)
  • Message priority (changeable)
  • PBO_TEXT (Message long text as template for the user for creating a message).
  • PAI_TEXT (Additional enhanced text after creating the message).
