SAPLECN1 - IS-U Navigator: Runtime Module
PERFORM Short Reference SUBST_MERGE_LIST - merge external lists to one complete list with #if... logic for R3upThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
Description
The function group ECN1 involves the runtime environment of the IS-U Navigator.
The IS-U Navigator is a tool that can be used to display the data environment for an object in the form of a hierarchy list. In addition, different functions on the hierarchy list can be carried out.
Call
The IS-U Navigator is called via the 'ISU_NAVIGATOR' function module.
Information about the initial object and analysis period are required as transfer parameters (refer to documentation regarding interfaces of the function module). If all transfer parameters are not filled, standard values or values resulting from the remaining parameters are used (for example: specify object type -> the default configuration for the object type is automatically used).
Function principle
Starting with a unique object (initial object), the IS-U Navigator reads the entities existing in relationship to one another in the environment. The entity relationships must be predefined in customizing so that the read paths are already known at runtime. Afterwards the data is edited and displayed as a hierarchy list. The layout is also defined via the customizing tables.
Functions
Detail view
By double-clicking on a line, the default method (display mode) belonging to the object is called.
Set focus
By setting a focus on a line, the relevant object becomes the initial object. That is, the IS-U Navigator is restarted with new transfer parameters. It is therefore possible to navigate through the data structure. Additional object links are found by new read processes.
Filter
Using a filter function, certain lines of the hierarchy list can be hidden and slotted in. The relevant lines are defined in customizing.
Analysis period
The analysis period (key date or period) can be changed subsequently. In this case, the IS-U Navigator is called again.
Dialog functions
Using the Action Manager (AM), any number of actions in the hierarchy list can be defined and carried out. The actions are grouped together in action groups and are defined in AM customizing.
Customizing
The basic mode of operation for the IS-U Navigator is customizing. It is described in the documentation for the ECNSTRUC table.
