Description
You can find the SAP standard sample module in the function group EEIDOC, which is used for generating outbound IDocs for data exchange between service providers in the deregulated energy market. The structure of these IDocs is based on the EDI definitions (electronic data exchange) of the deregulated energy market in Pennsylvania. IDocs are currently available for:
- consumption history of a customer
- consumption values of a billing period
- billing information
- incoming payments from a customer account
transfer notification to a service provider
You can find information about this subject in the Release Info for deregulation.
Output
The function modules generate the IDocs from the data IDocs transferred by the communication layer.
Adjusting the IDoc: generation
This requires:
- IDoc developer knowledge, when an · enhancement of an existing or new is necessary
- ABAP/4 programmer knowledge to carry · out the necessary program changes. For adjustments to customer specific requirements, proceed as follows:
- Retain the IDoc data structure
- Copy the function group (note the naming conventions for the function group. You can use the following name spaces: X*, Y*, Z*). You must then change the code in the function module you created.
- You must then enter the newly created function module in the communication control. Finally, replace the SAP function modules in the communication control with your own function modules.
- Change the IDoc data structure
- You have two choices: either you can adjust existing IDoc basis types using the IDoc enhancement concept or you can define you own IDoc basic type. Additionally, you must adjust the IDoc function modules in the same way as 1. You must also adjust the customizing for the communication control.
