Description

This demo report shows how any desktop office applications that support Microsoft OLE and ActiveX technologies can be integrated into an R/3 transaction. The report uses a new interface, SAP Desktop Office Integration, which is available as of R/3 version 4.0A.

This report allows you to use all office applications installed on your PC to create or edit documents and store them in R/3. You can choose between several example documents prepared by SAP or create new docuements. You can edit documents either in place (that is, directly in the SAPGUI window) or in a separate window. If documents contain preview data, you can display this data in the SAPGUI window even if the related office application is not installed on the PC.

For more documentation on this program, see the SAP Help Portal under http://help.sap.com. Then choose SAP Netweaver - SAP Web Application Server. Under Release SAP Web Application Server 6.40 select a language. A new window appears.

Choose mySAP Technology Components -> SAP Web Application Server -> Controls and Control Framework -> Desktop Office Integration -> Demo Programs.
