Description

This demonstration shows how you can integrate any desktop office application that supports Microsoft OLE and ActiveX technology into an R/3 transaction. The program uses an interface called SAP Desktop Office Integration, available in the R/3 System since Release 4.0A. This program allows you to use any office application installed on your PC to create and work with documents, and store them in the R/3 System.

You can use one of a range of templates supplied by SAP, or create your own documents from scratch. Documents can be edited in-place, that is, within the R/3 window, or in a separate window. Documents that contain preview data can also be displayed in the SAPgui window without the corresponding application having to be installed on the PC.
