Purpose

Using the archiving object BC_SBOOK, this read program shows how a user can specify specific objects (in this example flight bookings) to be accessed.

The user can enter where the program should search for the requested flight bookings - in the database, the archive or in both. He makes this specification using the dialog box for data source selection (under Extras -> Data Source...). If the data to be accessed is in the archive, the user can choose between an index-based access (via an infostructure of the Archive Information System), or a sequential access.
