SU26_STEP_2A_SELECT - Compare the Authorization Default Values

Purpose

Through upgrades or transports, SAP and other development partners deliver new or changed authorization default values for the Profile Generator (PFCG). You can view the data delivered by SAP using transaction SU22.

In customer systems, to be able to be used in the Profile Generator, this data needs to be transferred to the work area for authorization default value maintenance for customers (transaction SU24). This is necessary to be able to use PFCG's automatic adjustment of the authorization concept to changed functionalities.

This program supports the mass transfer of the SAP data, and, if necessary, the comparison with existing customer authorization default values.

When starting the program through transaction SU25 step 2a, the option "Complete Comparison of Applications with Changed SAP Values", which is useful for mass processing, is proposed. To process step 2a, start the program with the default settings.

You can use the simulation mode for preparatory analyses.
If you also want to transfer customer data and/or data from development partners using mass processing, check the checkbox "Also compare customer applications".

However, this data should usually use the function "Compare Changed SAP Values for Selected Applications" to transfer data of this type.

If you choose this option, you can define the applications to be compared using selected application properties (search area for applications: standard area), or using the piece list of a transport request or of an authorization default values file (created with the report RSU22DOWN). The report provides an overview of the affected applications, with the possibility of performing the comparison for one or more applications.
