Purpose

With this report you can analyze aggregated system load data (statistics data) that is stored in the profile tables or in a secondary SAP HANA database.

In principle, you can access the same data as in transactions ST03 and ST03N. With this report though you can select the required data more effeciently using flexible selection options and enhanced aggregated options.

Integration

Prerequisites

You first have to activate an alternative data storage (profile tables or secondary SAP HANA database) for the profiles whose data you want to activate for this report.

You can find the configuration of these data storages in transaction ST03 or ST03N in the expert mode under Collector and Performance DB → Workload Collector → Configuration of Data Storage.

Features

Selection

  • Select the required aggregate profile.
  • If the profile is stored in the profile tables as well as in the secondary SAP HANA database, select the storage from which you want to view the data.
  • Depending on the profile you can define selection options for other fields. You can define complex selections (for example, with intervals or exclusion of specific values).
  • The date refers to the first day of the period. You can define complex selections (intervals in particular) here too.

You can save selections to use them later. The saved selections are visible for all users.

Standard Variants

Output

The results screen is divided into three areas:

  • Top left - the selection made
  • Bottom left - aggregation fields (this area is omitted for hit lists)
  • Right - the data selected

The selected data is displayed in a SAP list viewer, and you can use its standard functions. In particular, you can change the layout. This has the following effects:

  • If a key figure is hidden, the relevant field is not read from the database. This increases the effeciency of the data access.
  • If a key field is hidden, the key figures are aggregated to the remaining key fields. In the extreme case if all key fields are hidden, all data records are aggregated so that the results table contains one record only.
Hiding and showing key fields in the layout is equivalent to showing and hiding buttons in the bottom left area. With these buttons you can show or hide fields directly without having to change the layout. To make the setting effective, choose the Aggregation/Detail button.

You can save the layout (as a default). This also saves the aggregation setting. If saved layouts exist, a menu button appears in the toolbar with which you can quickly switch between saved layouts.

Aggregation is not possible for hit lists.
