USMD_DELETE_DATA_MODEL - Delete Active Version of Data Model

Purpose

This report program deletes the active version of a data model, including all dependent data.

Notes

• Besides the data model, the program also deletes all dependent data, such as the generated tables in the staging area including all content, Customizing data, change requests, and personalization data.

• The program deletes all related client-dependent data in all clients, but not the change requests. To delete any existing change requests, the program calls the program for deleting change requests, USMD_DELETE_CREQUEST. This is why the program can delete change requests only in the logon client. If change requests of the data model also exist in another client, the program terminates processing prior to the first deletion and issues an error message. In this case, you first need to execute the USMD_DELETE_CREQUEST program in the respective client.

• To execute the program, you need authorization for maintaining cross-client tables (authorization object S_TABU_CLI). You also need authorization for maintaining tables using standard tools (authorization object S_TABU_DIS) for table authorization group USMD with the Change activity.

Furthermore, if change requests to be deleted still exist, you also need authorizations for the deletion program USMD_DELETE_CREQUEST. For more information, see USMD_DELETE_CREQUEST.

• You cannot execute this program with certain system and client settings - for example, in a productive logon client.
