Purpose

You use this report to trigger alerts for monitoring processes which are considered delayed. The report will examine the runtime of a process. If this time is longer than a previously defined threshold in customizing, an alert will be triggered in the SAP alert framework. The report is intended for periodic background processing. Note that alerts will be raised on each executin of the report as long as either the alert condition is still existing or the process has not been stopped.

Integration

This report is part of a manufacturing monitoring package designed to be a single, stand alone deployment either inside an existing mySAP ERP or in a central SAP instance of Basis release 6.40 or higher. It does no interfere with any existing data structures inside the SAP system where it is deployed.

Prerequisites

You need to carry out the following customization setting.

  1. Define a process including parties and steps. For further details check out the documentation of report ZMII_M_PROCESS_MONITOR.
  2. Define an alert category containing the definition of alerts to be raised. The following process specific variables are supported in this alert category.
  • A variable called 'Instance' of type zxmii_m_obji specifying the actual process instance in the alert

  • A variable called 'Process' of type zxmii_m_obj specifying the scenario name in the alert

  • A variable called 'Message' of type zxmii_m_text specifying a descriptive text in the alert.

  1. Define alert thresholds for each process step for a plant and scenario name which should be checked for delays. In the maintenance screen choose a plant, a scenario name, and enter a threshold for the number of minutes after which an alert should be raised.

Features

Selection

  • Plant (obligatory): Select the plant where you want to raise alerts.

  • Monitoring Server (optional): If you want to receive a navigation URL in your alert to navigate to further details of the process enter the URL address of the SAP Web Application Server service enabling WebGui Transactions. For further details refer to the F1 Help of this entry.

Standard Variants
