Functionality

The business object (BO) buffer refresh service enables a calling application such as an activity, user interface, or custom application to delete all data changes to SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure (SAP AII) business objects that were performed by previous SAP AII core service calls since the last BO save service call or since the beginning of the transaction (whichever occurred most recently).

Example

If you write your own user interface to update or create an SAP AII business object such as a physical object, business transaction document, or observation using SAP AII core service calls, you would call the BO buffer refresh service in the event of a transaction cancellation or restart.

Notes

This core service documentation is intended for technical developers and implementation consultants. Review the SAP AII system documentation for further information regarding the parameters.

Commit Handling

The BO buffer refresh service does not commit any information to the SAP AII database. It is the responsibility of the calling application to process the messages generated by the service in the ET_RETURN table and commit (or rollback) by calling the service /AIN/PUB_DATABASE_COMMIT or /AIN/PUB_DATABASE_ROLLBACK.

Message Handling

The messages generated by the services are not stored in any application log. It is the responsibility of the calling application to store the application log entries in the relevant application log objects. All the messages that are generated during the service call are returned to the calling application.
