/AIN/PUB_DATABASE_COMMIT - Commit database changes

Functionality

The database commit service enables a calling application such as an activity, user interface, or custom application to commit database changes to the SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure (SAP AII) database. This service applies to changes that were created or modified by previous calls of any SAP AII core service and saved using the BO save service.

Example

If you write your own user interface to update a physical object or a BTD or to create an observation using core service calls, you call the database commit service (after calling /AIN/PUB_BO_SAVE) when saving the data.

Notes

This core service documentation is intended for technical developers and implementation consultants.

Data persistency

This service does not persist any internal buffer changes to the SAP AII database. Call service /AIN/PUB_BO_SAVE to persist the new or modified data to the database prior calling the database commit service.

Message Handling

Messages generated by the services are not stored in any application log. It is the responsibility of the calling application to store the application log entries in the relevant application log objects. All the messages that are generated during the service call are returned to the calling application.
