Functionality

This BAPI enables to create or change interchangeability groups of type:

  • Supersession chain
  • FFF class
  • FFF subset
  • Restricted interchangeability for FFF classes
  • Product substitution procedure
  • Location chain
  • Location product chain
  • Location determination procedure
  • Location product substitution procedure

This BAPI also enables to assign models to the interchangeability groups.

The same BAPI can be used for both create as well as change.

Reference structures (checkboxes) are used to select entries to be changed. The update flag within the X structures specify the mode (I = Insert, U = Update and D = Delete ). When update is used in the X structure then the key fields of the normal table and X structure table must match.

Refer to the parameter documentation for more information on using the different interface parameters of the BAPI.

Return: The group that is successfully created/changed will be returned in the GROUP_NUMBER parameter.

Messages returned: Messages are returned in the RETURN parameter. The parameter documentation shows the return codes and their meanings.
