/PM0/ABT_SVC_CHGOPTREQ_SIMEXEC - Simulate Release of External Change Option

Functionality

You can use this function module to simulate the release of an external change option to make it appear like a change request.

The Application Number field is mandatory. The function module checks the status and simulates the release.

The system returns the following data:

• List of error and status messages (parameter ET_MESSAGE).

If no error messages are returned, the simulation was successful.

This function module uses the same release variants as the Change business process in dialog mode. The function module also executes the customer-specific adjustments on this release run. No other enhancement options are provided with the function module.

Notes

• The function module can only be called synchronously. It does not return any exceptions.

• The function module must be called with input data in internal SAP data format, and it also provides the return data in internal format, for instance 20160202, and not 02.02.2016.
