Functionality

This method enables you to change prenotes.

To change a prenote, you need to transfer the account identification and the prenote reference number, or the internal ID of the prenote.

You can change the following values for prenotes:

o,,Valid-to date

o,,Short text

o,,Long text

You cannot change the prenote amount unless you delete the prenote and create it again.

The Valid To date must not be before the current posting date.

Dependencies

To use this method, the following prerequisites must be fulfilled:

  • You have created the prenotes either in the dialog, or by using the Create Prenote method.
  • Only the latest version of the prenote that does not have the final status can be edited. The prenote statuses are as follows:
  • Active

  • In Release

  • Change In Release

  • Deletion In Release

  • Assigned

  • Deleted


Assigned and Deletedare the final statuses and cannot be edited.

When you use a BAPI to change a prenote, the system does not send it for release. If you edit a version whose status is In Release or Change in Release, the system does not check the prenote for release but saves it as an active version. The system then deletes the workflow item for the In Release version.

Example

Prenote reference number 1a has two versions: Activeand Change In Release. You can edit only the latest version whose status is Change In Release.

If you use a BAPI to edit the prenote, the system does not check its release criteria but saves its changes as an active version.

Notes

The related BAdI for this BAPI is BADI_BKK_PRENOTE_CHANGE. You can create an implementation for this BAdI in the BAdI Builder(transaction SE19), where the enhancement spot is ES_BKK_PRENOTE_BAPI.
