BAPI_BUPA_CREATE_FROM_DATA - SAP BP, BAPI: Create Business Partner

Functionality

You use this function module to create a business partner, whereby you can also create an address with related communication types. The data entered in the interface is checked for consistency and for Customizing settings. If this check reveals one or more errors, the errors are logged in the RETURN table, and the business partner is not created.

If the appropriate settings have been made in the system, a duplicate check is carried out during creation. If a record that is to be created is recognized as already existing in the system, the addresses that are similar to this record are stated in the table ADDRESSDUPLICATES. If the tool used for the duplicate check offers the possibility, the probability of the current record being a duplicate is stated in the table ADDRESSDUPLICATES.

It is possible, via the table parameters stated above, to create address-independent communication data for the business partner. In contrast to the address-dependent communication data, no other information from the structure ADRESSDATA is necessary here for creating the communication data. It is possible to maintain both address-dependent communication data and address-independent communication data for a business partner. The data for the address-independent communication data is checked, possible errors are logged and output in the RETURN table.
