Functionality
This method provides you with detailed information about a functional area. The details determined by the system and a return code are returned.
Notes
All authorization checks that take place for display within an R/3 transaction are executed here.
The input parameter FUNCTIONALAREAID is not converted, so that leading blank spaces are not cleared in this parameter.
Dependent on the parameter LANGUAGE, the description, provided it exists, is returned in the required language. If no description exists for the functional area in this language, nothing is returned. As an alternative, the language can be specified as an ISO code in the parameter LANGUAGE_ISO. The parameters LANGUAGE and LANGUAGE_ISO are optional. If no language is specified, the logon language of the user is used. If both parameters are set, the parameter LANGUAGE_ISO is ignored.
Messages are returned in the parameter RETURN. The parameter documentation contains the return values and their meaning. If the parameter RETURN is returned without a message, the existence of the functional area is confirmed.
