Functionality
You use this function module to install a non-serialized material into the BOM header of a piece of equipment without any user interaction required in transaction IE4N. The equipment must be defined as an equipment BOM header.
Configuration Control checks that the installation is allowed and also whether there is a structure gap at the installation position. Either the structure gap is deleted by the installation, or the quantity of the structure gap is decreased by the specified quantity.
If the material movement parameter in the BAPI interface is set, then a goods movement of the material from the warehouse is carried out during installation. Installation without material movement is possible only in the BAPI. Transaction IE4N does not support this function.
A maintenance notification is created to document the installation.

Notes
An update is triggered within the function module, that is, each non-serialized material installation is updated immediately. An update is not triggered in simulation mode (import parameter SIMULATION).
A long text for the maintenance notification that is created can be defined in the LONGTEXT table. Only one long text is supported for the notification header. Therefore, the OBJTYPE field must contain the value QMEL. The OBJKEY field must be initial.
Customer-specific fields can be transferred to the function module using the EXTENSION import table. The fields must then be entered in the relevant structures using the MODIFY_DATA method in BAdI BAPI_IE4N_EXTEND. Other customer enhancements and checks can also be implemented in this method. Note that no dialogs are processed in the method, however.
All messages that accumulate during processing are returned in the MESSAGES table. If errors occur, the table also stores the relevant error messages.
The ITEM_FUNCID interface contains an attribute that is not available in transaction IE4N. This attribute can specify the BOM item in the equipment BOM header if the BOM items used the same materials.
