Functionality

It is used to change the master record of a patient. To cancel a patient's master record, please use the method BAPI_PATIENT_CANCEL.

If you only want to change the patient master data that is valid for all institutions, you need not specify an institution in the INSTITUTION parameter, if you either omit the parameter in the interface or enter a wildcard ("*"). In this case, note that no institution-specific data is stored, even if it is specified. The public list block PUBLISTBLOCK and the parish PARISH fall into this category.

You can only change patient master records with self-payer insurance relationships in relation to a particular institution. You then have to execute program RNUVVDEBI to make the changes to the corresponding customers in FI.
