Functionality

This service function of sequence planning enables you to carry out a sequence optimization for a specified number of orders in a buffer in production. To be able to observe the sequence transfers better before and after the order package to the optimized, you can fix these orders to the corresponding item in the SEQUENCE table.

The order activities in the SEQUENCE table are sequentially optimized with the procedure entered under SOLVER_NAME. The restrictions that you have assigned to the line (parameter: IPPE_LINE_NAME) are taken into account during optimization if they have been released and are currently valid.

Notes

Takt-based scheduled and sequentially optimized orders are not posted in the system, they are only returned to the initiator via the SEQUENCE table.

Sequential optimization can only be carried out for a line.

The orders entered must posses a valid production version on the line entered.
