Functionality

This function can be used to create quota arrangements of to change existing quota arrangements or items.

The fields and table parameters used generally correspond to the master data maintenance of the quota arrangements. You should therefore be acquainted with master data maintenance of the quota arrangements and the structure of quota arrangements.

If you are using this function for the first time, you can find detailed documentation in the following important information.

Notes

  • Change parameters must be used to create or change quota arrangements.
  • Transaction behavior
    Depending on the settings in COMMIT_CONTROL the function can automatically carry out a COMMIT or ROLLBACK.
  • If faulty data is transferred in a table parameter or if errors occur the complete quota arrangement concerned will not be processed. Other quota arrangements that have been transferred are not affected. That is, error processing takes place at the object level and in this cast the object is the quota arrangement for a product (or quota arrangement for all products) for a certain quota arrangements.
    If errors occur it is not recommended to post the data as the data that is already saved may not correspond to the data transferred. In case of error it is always recommended to carry out a rollback.
  • The following rules apply for the validity periods (VALFR - VALTO):
  • If several validity periods exist, these periods may not contain "gaps". That is, assuming there is a validity period for week 21 and for week 23, it is not allowed not to have a validity period for week 22, as this would mean that no quotation information would exist for week 22.

  • Likewise, when creating quotations a validity period must exist that is also valid for the current date.

  • Since validities apply at the date level, the following values must be given for the times in the validitiy periods:
  • VALFR time = '000000' (00:00:00)

  • VALTO time = '235959' (23:59:59)
