BAPI_REL_UPDATEREMOTEDELETE - Distribute Deleted Relationships in Remote System

Functionality

If necessary, the relationships deleted locally using BAPI_REL_DELETERELATION and BAPI_REL_MASSDELETERELATION are also deleted in remote systems. This is the case if one of the linked objects is in a remote system and the relationship has been marked as REMOTE when deleting in the local system.

Deletion in the remote system takes place using a tRFC call of the function module BAPI_REL_MASSDELETERELATION. The function should be before the COMMIT WORK that starts the posting of the application in the local system.

In the case of errors, an entry is written to the tRFC log. The tRFC is then canceled, for example, if no RFC destination is found for the logical system of the remote system.

To correct errors, you can add a tRFC-compatible destination for the method DeleteRelation of the class ObjectRelationService. You make this setting with the transaction BD97 (in the Implementation Guide using Basis Components --> Application Link Enabling (ALE) --> Sending and Receiving Systems --> Systems in Network --> Synchronous Processing --> Determine RFC Destinations for Method Calls).
