Functionality

You can use this function to create transportation lanes or to change existing transportation lanes or parts of them.

The fields or table parameters correspond on the whole to the master data maintenance of transportation lanes. You should therefore be acquainted with master data maintenance of transportation lanes and the structure of transportation lanes.

If you are using this function for the first time, you can find detailed documentation under the following important information.

Notes

  • To be able to create or change transportation lanes, change parameters must be used.
  • Transaction behavior:
    Note that this method can automatically post (COMMIT WORK) or reject (ROLLBACK WORK) data changes, depending on the COMMIT_CONTROL parameter.
  • If data with errors is transferred to a table parameter, or if errors occur, the entire associated transportation lane will not be processed. Other transferred transportation lanes are not affected by this. In other words, the error processing is carried out at object level, whereby the object is the transportation lane here.
    If errors occur, it is not recommended to update data as the saved data may not correspond to the transferred data. When errors occur it is always recommended to carry out a rollback.
  • Since the validities of transportation lanes (and their subobjects) are valid at the day level, the following values have to be given for the times in the validity periods (the times are automatically adjusted to the time zones of the locations):
  • VALFR time = '000000' (00:00:00)

  • VALTO time = '235959' (23:59:59)
