Functionality
Initial creation of structure data of an article hierarchy.
You can use this BAPI to structure a hierarchy in an SAP system for each call. The new hierarchy being created is given the status "Planned". The header data of an article hierarchy is transferred using the interface parameter HIERARCHY_DATA. The essential field of the import parameter is the Hierarchy ID, on which the following tables are also based. The data for creating the article hierarchy nodes is contained in the HIERARCHY_STRUCTURE table. Nodes and parent nodes are the essential fields of the table. Language-dependent descriptions for the hierarchy and nodes are transferred in the DESCRIPTION_HIERARCHY and DESCRIPTION_STRUCTURE tables.
The Test Run parameter is used to check the structure before actually creating the hierarchy in the database. The system just simulates creating the hierarchy and the data is not updated.
