BAPI_XBP_GET_BP_RESRC_ON_DATE - Determine all Background Resources Available on a Particular Date

Functionality

With this method you can determine the resources that are available in an R/3 System at a specific time. The resources are determined accross the system, taking into account the operative mode active at the specified time. For each R/3 instance, the system returns the number of of work processes for the background processing system, as well as the number of work processes that are reserved for jobs in priority class A.

This type of check of the available resources is not absolutely necessary. A background job is always executed unless the background processing system is completely out of operation.

the check can be useful if, for example, a job is executed at the execution time without any hesitation. With this function module you can then specify whether any background work processes may be available.
