Functionality

This function module serves only as an example of the interface and the structure of search help exits in search helps.

All the interface parameters defined here are for a function module that is intended for mandatory use as a search help exit, because the caller of the module does not know which parameters are actually used internally.

A search help exit is called at several call-up points during the F4 process flow. In CALLCONTROL-STEP, the step within the process flow is transferred. If the module is only intended to make some modifications before the step, do not change CALLCONTROL-STEP.

However, if the module is intended to perform the entire step, CALLCONTROL-STEP must contain the subsequent step.

The module must react to all steps that it does not know or is not intended to handle with an immediate EXIT.
