Functionality

The function module prepares the balancing postings for the interest penalty.

It takes into account the different characteristics of the interest penalty posting. The carryforwards to the next period are still calculated, if there are appropriate characteristics. At the term end, carryforwards are not calculated. Instead, the whole interest penalty amount is posted.

The function module takes only calculation results into account from the current period and cannot be used for periods that have already been balanced.
