Functionality
As part of the New Data Available for Substance... extended search function, this module finds all of the substances for which new data has been supplied by a content provider. These substances are then collected in a hit list.
The content provider supplies a *.TXT file, which indicates whether new data is available for a substance. This file also lists the CAS number and most recent update date for all of the substances. The function module compares the date specified in the *.TXT file with the date stored in the table EHS: OCC: Table for Saving Import Information in the system.
If the date in the *.TXT file is more recent than the date stored in the system, the substance is added to the hit list. The hit list containing the substances is then returned to the caller in E_SUBSTANCE_TAB. The following applies here: |E_SUBSTANCE_TAB| <= |I_SUBSTANCE_TAB| (for I_SUBSTANCE_TAB > 0)
