The function module saves the messages for one or more logs in the database. In case a LOG_HANDLE is not explicitly specified, the default log is saved.

In addition, an external identification can be specified for each log (EXTNUMBER), which can be used to specifically search the log.The log header is read for this purpose (function module BAL_LOG_HDR_READ), external identification is added and the log header is accordingly changed (function module BAL_LOG_HDR_CHANGE).

The log is provided with the flag HANDLE_SAVED after saving. Adding of messages to an already saved log is not allowed for the commission cases and commission documents (function module CACS_LOG_MSG_STORE_ALLOWED).

The function module CACS_LOG_MESSAGES_GIVE is called in case the messages need to be returned to the calling process (IFGL_RETURN_MSSGS = true), which returns the table with the messages.
