CFG_API_SPECIALIZE - Configuration: Specialize an Instance

Functionality

This function modules specializes a bill of materials position of a specified instance within a configuration.

Therefore you have to specify a valid CONFIG_ID, INST_ID and SPEC_TYPE_ID.

If the CONFIG_ID, INST_ID cannot be resolved the function module will run into a command_exception.

In other cases like trying to specialize a material the function module won't notify any errors.

Example

Notes

Specializing means substituting a class position of a bill of materials by a suitable material.

This material is usually defined by the same class like the one mentioned within the bill of materials, or a class extending it.
