Functionality

Change current version:

If I_CHANGE_CURRENT_VERSION = "yes" the content of the current version is changed. The current version is also given a new ID that is returned in E_DOC_VERSION_ID. If I_VERSION_NAME has an initial value during this process, neither the name nor the description is changed. If I_VERSION_NAME does not have an initial value, the name and the description are changed according to I_VERSION_NAME and I_VERSION_DESCRIPTION.

Create new version:

If I_CHANGE_CURRENT_VERSION = "no" a new version is created, whose ID is returned in E_DOC_VERSION_ID. If I_VERSION_NAME has an initial value or it equals "*" during this process, the system selects the name of the version. If the last character in I_VERSION_NAME is a "*", the characters before the star are used as the basis for the name and the star is replaced (for example, by figures) in such a way that a unique name for the document version is created.
