Functionality

The host system generates a number which this function module uses to create a PCL Package ID in the remote system and call the CodingSCAN tool.

The PCL Package ID is hence a unique identifier for the executable coding scan activity. If the PCL Package ID already exists in the remote system at the time of execution, the function module automatically calls the Coding Scantool for the selected PCL Package ID.

You can execute the required activities on the Perform Coding Scan screen in the Coding Scan tool to analyze and modify the strings as required. The Coding Scan tool reads the Chart of Accounts tables, or the tables relevant for company code deletion package, and displays user-defined character strings that must be searched in the coding of customer-specific programs.

Note

You are required to have sufficient authorization in the remote system to create a remote PCL Package ID.
