CNV_MBT_CR_COMPARE_COMPONENTS - CHECKING RULE: COMPARE SOFTWARE COMPONENTS OF THE INVOLVED SYSTEMS

Functionality

This Checking Rule compares the support package levels of the DMIS components between the involved systems. It also checks whether a component is existing. What you want to check must be maintained in a Checking Rule variant. In this variant you specify in the parameter number 1 to 4 the components you want to compare and in parameter number 5 the roles of the systems to be checked.

You can create a new Checking Rule variant with transaction cnv_mbt_cr. Here you can also change existing ones. But take care that the variant you change is not used in another program. This could lead to incorrect checkings.

Example

Example 1:

Checking Rule number: 0000000002 (function module CNV_MBT_CR_COMPARE_COMPONENTS)

Variant: 001

Parameter number 1: DMIS Component,,,,,,,,-> value,,DMIS

Parameter number 2: DMIS Content Component ,,,,-> value ,,DMIS_CNT

Parameter number 3: DMIS Extention Component ,,,,-> value,,DMIS_EXT

Parameter number 4: DMIS Human Capital component ,,-> value ,,DMIS_HR

Parameter number 5: Checked System as System Role,,-> value,,S, R

If the variant has the data as shown in example one then the support package levels of the sender system and the receiver system from the components DMIS, DMIS_CNT, DMIS_EXT and DMIS_HR will be compared. It is also checked if the components are existing in the systems or not.

Checking Rule number: 0000000002 (function module CNV_MBT_CR_COMPARE_COMPONENTS)

Variant: 001

Parameter number 1: DMIS Component,,,,,,,,-> value,,DMIS

If the variant has the data as shown in example one then the support package levels of the sender system, the receiver system and the upgrade system from the component DMIS will be compared. It is also checked if the component is existing in the systems or not.
